Mark your calendar now because you will not want to miss this great conference! We will start the day with a keynote presentation on the “Power Africa Initiative” by Lida Fitts, Regional Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S. Trade and Development Agency.
Our Opportunities, Challenges, and Business Environment in Africa session will kick off with the South African Consulate, Trade Commissioner, Shakira Motan from Chicago. Then we will hear from Eliot Pence, Director at McLarty Associates, and Monica Brown, VP for Programs and Special Project for The Foundation for Democracy in Africa. These speakers will discuss opportunities and challenges faced in the business environments of Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa.
We will continue with our mid-morning session on Managing Marketing and Financing Strategies in Africa. Randy Goode, Senior Vice President, International Banking with PNC Bank; Ashley Bubna, International Trade Specialist from U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration; and Eric Armacost, Lender Relations Specialist with the Indiana District Office, Small Business Administration will present marketing and financial strategies for working in the various regions.
There will be a great opportunity to network and interact with all the speakers during lunch. Then to top it off, we will have a fantastic a panel discussion on Best Practices and Lessons Learned from Doing Business in Africa. These panelists include George Srour, Founder & Chief Dreamer with Building Tomorrow, Inc.; David Ketchum, President and Founder of Mission Resource International; Dr. Toby Malichi, Founder, Chairman & Global Chief Executive of Malichi Group Worldwide.
